Does anybody know what a good and quiet muffler would be for a Wisconsin 35hp engine?
I have a trailer mounted carpet cleaner that has a 35 hp Wisconsin engine. The problem is it is obnoxiously loud. It has a muffler that is new from the factory. But I need to quiet it down. I would prefer not to lose too much power or gas consumption. But I will do whatever I have to. Ideas?
I understand ther is a muffler that is made for this very application. But I don't know what it is called.Ideas? And if so,where can I buy one.

you could try taking your engine to a registered muffler repairer and have them make you one up, i have had them build me a special on for a small tractor i once owned .
best of luck

They make catalytic converters that are also great sound traps, with virtually no back pressure. The 5000 Series is available for gas, propane, natural gas, and diesel engines.
