002 Briggs & Stratton 5 HP Assembly
I put it all back together. Some parts I left out, but there the easy parts not the engine parts. Ha Ha!!! Used original rings on piston. The pictures in this video where gathered before the Drill Spin video and running videos 1-3. !!! FYI !!!! These videos are posted mostly for me to reference because I lose them on the harddrive. Eventually, I did hone the cylinder and put new piston rings in. I lapped the valve seats too.
i hope u either honed the cylinder, or got a new block, and also did you hone the valve seats? cause if u r rebuilding it then u always want to do that.

I used dishwasher soap and plastic scrub brushes.
you can try lucas, I don’t think it would hurt anything.

Timing is good, I must have rotated the crank a little.

You tried it with what kind of carb?
dude e85 will make it runn worse ive tryed it it sucks ass
it wasnt in time when you put the cam shaft in your timing is going to be off. i know this because the dot on the cam was on the far right of the block, not lined up with the line or dot on the crankshaft.
HEEEELP! how did you get the crank bearing out and how did you put it back?

wats the use of the spring on the carb? mine isnt hooked up 2 anything… what is it supposed to be on?

I had one of these engines on my go kart, it would do about 50. We got it from a go kart place, they had bored out the cylinder for some extra hp.
what did you use to get the inside of the engine so clean? I know that it is filled with oil when in use. how did you get it so clean? Carb cleaner? and what would you say about using Lucas oil stabilizer (for a car) in these little engines? Its supposed to stabilize the oil so that it doesnt “run” off the parts as much.

Well, The piston is mounted to the connecting rod. You have to unbolt the connecting rod from the engine.
