1958 Craftsman Tiller maintenance part 1 – Welding
This is a video of some of the welding I did on my uncle's tiller. My grandfather purchased it brand new in 1958 from sears and it was delivered just before Christmas (off season sale) and used it in his garden. It was later passed down to my uncle who uses it for landscaping. The handle broke this summer and one of the tines were lose. It is also leaking something from somewhere, but I'll cover that in part two of this video. It has been repainted various times and now has a 7 HP Tecumseh engine. The heavier engine and more power are two big advantages. There is also another set of tines that aren't on the machine if you wanted to till wider.

a little work and it will be good as new! ya should bolt on a 3.5hp briggs once that tecumseh dies. those engines will never stop running.
