Galletta’s Karting Club 2009 Vol 12 – Twin 35s Night on 8/31/2009
gallettasgreenhouse.com The preeminent Karting event in Central New York is coming. The 200-Lap Gallettas Klassic is in mid-September, and people are trying to get in practice in order to qualify for the event. Everybody knows that if you have not won a feature at Gallettas grueling track with specialized, equalized 1WD Gas Flathead-type, iron-man racing go-karts, you have not truly won a karting event. 25-40 lap Classics that only have 5-10 minutes of green flag racing just dont cut it for a real test of kart racing talent and abilities. First on tap this evening was a 10-Lap Rookie Qualifier Heat. It was won by George Russell, followed by Josh Herscha, Shadoe Russell, and Jeff Tetro. 13 karts lined up for the 35-lap features. The race was, as usual, highly competitive, and only a few rookie wrecks could slow the intense action. August 31st, 2009 35-Lap #1 Finish: 1st. Russ Hockey (Hockey #00) 2nd.
