Is a small engine repair shop really that profitable?
I know small engines very well and am thinking of opening my own small engine shop. I'v been hearing how profitable this is and am looking for a push in the right direction. Has anyone opened one, or done this on the side, how profitable was this?

I work in the automotive industry and can tell you it *can* be profitable.
It kind of depends on where you live. But now is the time to open one, because now people are always going to choose to repair their car rather than getting a new one. And since dealers will take profit over efficiency any day, many people would rather come to a private place anyway.
I say give it a shot.
Is Possible. Start small, maybe in your garage. Test the demand in your area before spending big bucks.
